Foundation Announces New Pinnacle Awards and Recognition Event

Updated: September 2, 2008

The Johnson County Library Foundation's Pinnacle Award debuted in 2002 as an Excellence in Art award. The honor has been presented annually by the Foundation to recognize a significant artist or art supporter whose efforts have positively impacted the cultural well-being of our community. In 2008, the Foundation is expanding the award to include three additional categories, highlighting several areas of emphasis at the Johnson County Library: Advocacy and Public Engagement, Business and Entrepreneurship, and Literacy and Education. As with the original arts Pinnacle Award, the new category honorees must demonstrate excellence in their professional field or philanthropic pursuits.
