What We Do

The Johnson County Library Foundation believes the Library should be a place of lifelong learning.

Our initiatives begin at birth, emphasizing the importance of early literacy initiatives and extend through the years with innovative learning programs, all designed to enhance the community and keep the Library strong for generations.

Foundation initiatives include collection enrichment, youth homework assistance, art programs, early literacy initiatives, youth-at-risk programs and technology enhancements at the Library. Collectively, these investments represent a 313 percent return on each dollar invested in the library for Johnson County residents – 2015 Return on Investment study conducted by the University of Kansas.
