On September 19th, hundreds of Library supporters gathered at Central Resource Library for Library Lets Loose, and what a blockbuster night it was!
Guests stepped into the world of ’80s movies with larger-than-life photo opportunities featuring E.T., Darth Vader, Doc Brown and the DeLorean, the Ghostbusters car, and Jack Torrence—who provided a memorable (and slightly chilling!) photo op. A huge thank you to artist Jeff Roberts for bringing the lifelike Doc Brown and Jack Torrence characters to life!
The night was packed with fun. Dancing with DJ Stann, surprise breakdancers and rapping from MC Flare the Rebel, to arcade games, a silent auction, delicious food from 15 restaurants, and plenty of ’80s nostalgia. We were also thrilled to welcome Heidi Gardner as our Honorary Host and to celebrate with so many wonderful Library supporters.
Thank you to everyone who made the evening possible. To our attendees, sponsors, donors, vendors, restaurant partners, entertainers, volunteers and event team: your enthusiasm, generosity and hard work made Library Lets Loose an unforgettable night. We are so grateful for your support of the Johnson County Library and the community we serve.
Thank you again for making Library Lets Loose 2026 a night to remember.
